Jason has been in the recruitment industry since 1994 with an exclusive focus on Recruitment Process Outsourcing since 1997.
As STS* of SharpObject Consulting, Jason consults for both current and potential RPO providers on issues related to strategy, sales, marketing, service delivery and technology.
Before founding SharpObject Consulting, Jason co-founded and was Vice President and COO for Hyrian, one of the first companies in the nascent RPO industry, responsible for helping to define the RPO industry as we know it today. In fact, Jason is credited by HRO Today magazine with coining the term “RPO”. Jason helped Hyrian grow from two employees in Los Angeles to more than 250 in six states, and over $22 million in annual revenues. Ultimately he weathered the RPO industry’s largest provider implosion as the economic woes of late 2008 caused the company to fail in a rather spectacular fashion. Jason has long been an RPO industry leader, named four times to HRO Today’s list of 100 HRO Superstars, serving as the first RPO provider on the Board of the Human Resources Outsourcing Association, founding the RPO Alliance and serving as its inaugural chair, founding and co-chairing the annual RPO Summit conference, speaking at numerous conferences, and writing for, and being interviewed as a subject matter expert for, a number of leading publications. Jason received his bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
